Who knew that shirtless boys in Johannesburg pounded the drums with such aggression and energetic abandon? Instead I just bought tickets to Leonard Cohen's North American Tour. At the equivalent of 4425 rands (210 USD/seat), I have two seats for the concert in San Diego, dinner and drinks not included. For $524/seat the venue was selling fourth row center tickets with complimentary DVD and T-shirt. Interesting how you pay extra in the US to get a T-shirt, and in South Africa the draw is that they take them off. At age 74, I would prefer that Lenny keep his shirt on; the suit and fedora are fine with me.
